2014-2015 Academic Year
Announcements about the survey will be
worded so as to make clear that responses
will be anonymous and that the raw data
will be seen only by a parent representative,
not school staff.
The Council voted unanimously to reimburse
Rucha Londe for the cost of the
surveymonkey subscription used to create
the online survey.
A parent representative noted that the
anonymous nature of the survey makes it
impossible to know whether more than one
parent has responded about the same child.
That uncertainty should be taken into
account when interpreting the survey data.
The first Let's Chat on October 9 drew a
small group but was productive. Jen Roney
will follow up on some suggestions raised at
that meeting, including investigating the
feasibility of resuming I larrington's lapsed
Walking Wednesdays/Safe Routes to School
program and exploring ways to more
consistently notify the PTA about new
families who arrive mid-year so that
experienced Harrington parents can
welcome them and answer their questions.
Mrs. Mead informed the Council of an
upcoming PTA meeting regarding enrollment
and space issues on 11/13/14 at 7:00 pm.
The next Let's Chat, 11/21/14 at 8:30 am,
will focus on safety. The Council will also
discuss safety at its next meeting on 11/18.
