TheAgendaandnotesforthemeetingare: 1)Approvalofpriormeetingminutes 2)DiscussionofECCinputto{ĻƌĻĭƷƒĻƓ͸ƭannualobjectives 1.Forreference,ourpreviousǤĻğƩ͸ƭinputswere: ReconstitutetheElectricalUtilityCommittee.Recommendthatthefollowingbe addedtotheirinitialcharter: 1.Investigateopportunitiesforcommunityaggregationofelectricalsupply services 2.Supportestablishingamunicipallightservice,possiblysimilartothe Concordmodel Investigatethepotentialforasolarinstallationatthepubliclandfillsite.This couldbeanalternateusagetotheanaerobicdigestor,oritcouldbea complementaryusage. CompletethepilotsolarinstallationontheHadleypublicbuilding,withserious considerationtoadditionalinstallationsonotherLexingtonpublicbuildings. Adoptarulethatenergyconservationshouldbeahighlightedcomponentof anyfuturelongtermcapitalbuildingprojectundertakenbytheTown. ProvidetheDepartmentofPublicFacilitieswithresourcestoexpeditiously implementshovelreadyprojectswhichwouldallowthemtomoreeffectively applyforandbegrantedmoniesfromDOERandothergrantprovidingagencies. TheECCrecommendsthefollowingtobeincorporatedintothe{ĻƌĻĭƷƒĻƓ͸ƭAnnualgoals: Adoptapolicythatenergyconservationshouldbearequiredcomponentofanylong termnewbuildingorrenovationcapitalprojectundertakenbytheTown. 1.Recommendthatthispolicyincludearequirementthatanynewmunicipal buildingberequiredtobesolarreadybyappropriateroofandconduitdesign. 2.Recommendthatthisgoalbeconsolidatedwithsimilarrecommendationsby theSustainableLexingtonCommittee. Recommendthatthefollowingmunicipalsolarinstallationoptionsbepursuedinthe nextfiscalyear 1.CompletesolarinstallationsattheHadleybuilding. 2.Developdesignsandplanstoinstallsolarinthecomingfiscalyearatasmanyof thefollowingasfeasible:Estabrook,Bowman,Fiske,Harrington. 3.Selectoneofthefollowing3optionsforsolarinstallationatthepubliclandfill siteΑ2,4,or8megawattarrays.Tomakethisselection,completeanalysisof relativeefficiencyandtownbenefittocosttradeoffsbetweenthesedesignsand thecurrentuseofthelandfill. ReconstitutetheElectricalUtilityCommitteeandrecommendthatthefollowingbe addedtotheirinitialcharter: 1.RecommendthatLexingtonfurtherinvestigatecommunityaggregationof electricalsupplyservices 1.Notethat2offeringcompanieshavebeenreviewedbytheECCatthe requestoftheSelectmeninthepast18months. 2.Supportestablishingamunicipallightservice,possiblysimilartotheConcord MA.
