Board of Assessor’s Meeting
April 24, 2013
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on April 24, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. located in
the Parker Room of the Town Office Building. In attendance: William Jackson,
Chairman, Edmund Grant, Member, Gregory Johnson, Member, Robert Lent, Director of
Assessing, and Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative Assistant.
Consent Agenda
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Public Comment Time: There were no attendees.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 3 – 0 roll call vote to move into
Executive Session to discuss pending Abatement Applications, Statutory Exemptions
and previous Meeting Minutes.
Executive Session
The Board approved twelve (12) FY2013 Real Estate Abatement Applications
The Board denied four (4) FY2013 Real Estate Abatement Applications
Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to adjourn the Executive Session
and return to the Regular Session at 6:50 p.m.
Public Comment Time: 3 Attendees from the Muzzey Condominium Association were
present. Ms. Ginger Maguire, Sarah Springer and Gloria Holland all of 1475
Massachusetts Avenue condo unit owners announced themselves. Together they
presented a petition statement on behalf of the condominium owners to the Board of
Assessors concerning the valuation assessment method used by the Town of Lexington.
The Board listened to their concerns and took it under advisement.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to return to Executive Session to
continue discussing the Abatement Applications, Statutory Exemptions and previous
Meeting Minutes.
Executive Session
The Board reviewed some of the remaining abatement applications for both the
residential and commercial properties. No action was taken on those applications.
Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to adjourn the Executive Session
and return to the Regular Session at 8:00 p.m.

A motion was duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 8:05 p.m.
The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 26, 2013.
