Board of Assessor’s Meeting
April 12, 2013
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on April 12, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. located in
the Parker Room of the Town Office Building. In attendance: William Jackson,
Chairman, Edmund Grant, Member, Gregory Johnson, Member, Robert Lent, Assessor,
and Elaine Melahouris, Residential Analyst / Inspector.
Consent Agenda
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m.
Public Comment Time: There were no attendees.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 3 – 0 roll call vote to move into
Executive Session to discuss pending Abatement Applications, Appellate Tax Board
Cases & Statutory Exemptions
Executive Session
The Board approved one (1) FY2013 Real Estate Abatement Application
The Board denied one (1) FY2013 Real Estate Abatement Application
The Board approved two (2) FY2013 Personal Property Abatement Applications
The Board denied four (4) FY2013 Personal Property Abatement Applications
The Board approved two (2) FY2013 Statutory Exemption Applications
The Board reviewed some of the remaining abatement applications for both the
residential and commercial properties. No action was taken on those applications.
Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to adjourn the Executive Session
and return to the regular session at 10:15 a.m.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded, it was voted to
adjourn at 10:18 a.m.
The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for April 26, 2013.
