Business
• Suzie Barry convened the meeting at 7:15 pm.
• April 7, 2014 minutes will be reviewed at the next meeting.
• Committee meets next on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Memorial Day, May 26, 2014
• Suzie has requested the appropriate permissions from town officials for presenting the
parade and ceremony.
• Bob Tracey will order ten wreaths.
• Suzie will order the bus for the ride to the fire station and Westview cemetery.
• Sandy Podgorski will ask Peter Kelley if he is available to provide transportation for the
chief marshal.
• Rick Beyer, producer of the historical documentary, The Ghost Army, was asked by Linda
Dixon to be our guest speaker at the ceremony. He was delighted to be invited and has
accepted. Rick and his wife plan to accompany us along the parade route.
• Kim Coburn will e -mail Jeff Leonard to ask if he can suggest a singer and remind him of our
need for two buglers.
• Father Demetrios Costarakis of St. Nicholas Church will say the invocation and convocation.
• Suzie will see that Carol Flynn receives the information needed to send to the girl scouts
inviting them to participate; Suzie will contact all other participating groups.
• Sondra Lucente submitted the morning's program to the Lexington Minute Man and
Colonial Times. She has Chief Marshal Jack Ryan's picture and biography to send for
publication.
• Sam Doran will bring the Civil War program he plans to deliver at Munroe Cemetery to the
next committee meeting.
Other Business
Dance Around the World meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Legion Room,
Cary Hall. The meeting's purpose is to set a date and decide where to hold the event. The
performance must be held between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:43 pm
