Members Not Present Dave Taylor Business • The chair declared that a quorum was present. • The minutes of meetings of April 2 and April 9, 2014 were approved with minor corrections. • Representatives of the Old Guard and town leadership will hold a contingency planning meeting on Friday to discuss the possibility of moving the Old Guard's performance to Cary Hall in case of inclement weather on Saturday. • The committee will hold a final meeting on Friday, April 18 at 3:00 p.m. All paperwork, i.e. parade rosters, youth parade lineup and morning ceremony schedules, will be distributed at that time. • The Shriner mini cars have withdrawn and the status of the sponsorship of this unit is in question. • The Coast Guard Auxiliary unit has withdrawn due to problems with assembling a color guard. Patriots' Weekend Overview Old Guard • Committee volunteers will meet on the Green on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. in committee uniform, i.e. Tricorne hat, blue vest, and committee ID, to receive their assignments. • The unit is prepared to cancel the outdoor performance up to 15 minutes prior to start time. • At 2:15 the Old Guard members will board a bus for Brookhaven, where they will enjoy lunch, compliments of Lexington Rotary. Reenactment • The VIP section is oversubscribed with a waiting list. The entire membership of the visiting Old Guard unit has been invited, and a larger than average contingent from Hanscom will be attending. • As part of the new security arrangements, there will be spotlights installed on the Green near the entrance to the VIP seating area and at other strategic points. A.M. Ceremony • Singer Kurt Pfrommer will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America P.M. Parade • Sondra Lucente will ask Joe Rancatore of Rancatore's Ice Cream to supply complimentary ice cream coupons to give to Parade Ambassadors. • Barbara Manfredi will report to the high school parking lot to coordinate the shuttle buses traveling to and from the parade registration desk. Heritage Band of America • Ticket reservations have reached 625 so far (Cary Hall seats 750). • Two volunteers are needed to help with dinner at 5:00; remaining volunteers should report to Cary Hall dressed in black skirt or slacks and white top at 6:15 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 pm.
