Called to order at 7:07 PM
Introductions
Treasurer update; Budget report presented.
Financial summary from last year presented and a proposed budget presented.
June 4, 2014 meeting minutes approved.
Membership letter discussed and drafts will be sent out.
There will be ETS meetings scheduled for September at each school. Liaisons will be encouraged
to attend this meeting. The meetings are going to be held before back to school nights. The ETS
will put the dates in the welcome letter they send to parents.
Monthly business meetings need to be scheduled for the year. A poll will be sent out to
determine the best times for the group.
Liaisons are assigned to each school they are posted on the SEPAC website.
Ideas for focus areas for this year.
Anxiety as it relates to students on IEPs
Curriculum about differences and how peers/teachers can be educated about
disabilities.
Disclosures and self -advocacy.
Problem solving and effective communication.
Federation 504 plan
A social gathering for September 4th
October meeting Working with outside experts
Family Ties Let's get organized night workshop
Meeting with SPED director and assistant SPED director
Executive functioning
Resource fair
Additional area of focus: definition of programs and parents access to information about the
programs
Question of whether to do fundraising, perhaps a Resource Fair.
