MINUTES
Present: John McWeeney, Chair;Narain Bhatia, George Burnell, Rick DeAngelis;David

Carl Valente, Maryann McCall Taylor
Meeting called to order at 8 am.
Pilot Shuttle for Hartwell Melisa Tintocalis reported on her efforts to work with
the 128 Business council to submit an application for a Jobs Access Reverse
Commute Grant to fund a pilot commuter shuttle that would run from Alewife to
Hartwell every weekday As part of the application she would secure support from
property owners along Hartwell. The general discussion included reaching out to
the the Farley White and Kiln Brook property
Ms. Tintocalis asked of the committee if they would support the Town contributing
to the pilot shuttle if the there was a gap of funds from the Property owners. The
committee was in favor of the approach. Rick DeAgelis made a motion to
recommend the approval of the creation pilot commuter shuttle and that the Board
of Selectman support up $20K of the first year David Pronchik seconded the
motion. Unanimous vote Carl Valente he would present the request to the Board of
Selectmen.
Hartwell Improvements The committee expressed support advancing the
sidewalks and jug handle landscape improvements.
Shire &Noise Ordinance⢠Carl Valente reported that the noise issue at Shire is no
enforcement issue any longer; now it a neighbors' and Shire issue However, the
Town still intends to work with neighbors and Shire because the neighbors still
complain of the noise, although they admit there has been significant improvement.
Rick DeAgelis recommended the Town continue ongoing monitoring of the noise.
and that it is reasonable that the Town stay involved. There was discussion on how
the development covenant impact negotiations between the Town and Patriot.
