Meeting Minutes
May 3, 2013
Present: Albert Zabin, Linda Vine, Michael McLean, Emily Lavine, Bonnie Brodner,
Melissa Buttaro, Bhumip Khasnabish, Fuang-Ying Huang
Meeting was called to order at 8:05 am
Follow up on the March incident:
The committee reviewed and finalized the letter. Lt. McLean will deliver copies of the
letter to local business in person. Linda will send it to the chairman of Lexington
Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Barry Cunha. And, invite Dr. Cunha to the next meeting to
start a dialog on diversity.
Police Dept. report:
1.Anti-Muslim graffiti were found in town park.
2.An e-mail has been circulating in town that a supporter of the suspect in the Zhu
Ling poison case has recently moved to Lexington. Zhu Ling was a student at
Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and was poisoned with thallium in 1994.
Although Ms. Zhu survived the poison, she was permanently paralyzed.The case
was never solved.
School report:
LHS observed the Day of Silence on May 1, with an estimate 1000 participants.
Meeting adjourned at 8:50 AM.
