JeanthenreviewedtheAbatementandDemolitionReCapfromthelastmeetingwhichshowedabase contractat$1,121,588.Thereweresixchanges(i)PCBoverrun($143,427);(ii)accelerationduetoTown lawsuit($16,994);(iii)abatementanddisposalofexteriorwallcavity($76,136);(iv)disposalofspandrel beamsandperimetercolumns($25,392);(v)asphalticpaperatundergroundpiping($792);and(vi) abatementanddisposalofauditoriumceilingplaster(ACM)($17,788)withapotentialtotalof $1,402,117. InfraredTestingforexcessheatlosswasperformedonApril29.TheotheritemsperformedduringApril schoolvacationweekincluded(a)powerandventilationtothekiln,(b)swappedoutgymspeakersfor specifiedcolor,(c)installedlightingprotection,(d)punchlistremedialwork(painting,caulking,interior glassandreplaceRTUcoil,and(e)FF&Efollowupdeliveriesandswapouts. FutureactivitiesincludedemolitioncompletionbytheendofMay.June,JulyandAugustworkwill includetheentrancecanopy,landscapingandsodwithaSeptember3overallcompletiondate. GaryAinsliebroughttothe/ƚƒƒźƷƷĻĻƭattentionanincidentattheschoolonApril14at10:00a.m.A portionofthebuildingtrimblewoffthesouthsidegymoverhangandfellintoanareawherestudents andmonitorswerehavingrecess.TheprincipalnotifiedShawmutandtheycameoverimmediatelyand theirlaborersinspectedandremovedanotherpieceoftrimandaninvestigationteamcameonsite within12hours.TherehavebeenaseriesofmeetingswithPatGoddard,MarkBarrett,SandyTrach, Shawmut,DiNiscoandHillonwhathappenedandhowtogoforward.Thecontractdocumentswere PBCMeeting050814Page1 reviewedtoseehowthetrimwasinstalled.TheCommitteeandDiNiscodiscussedanumberof correctiveoptions.
