Discovery Day
(M. Sandeen)
The was a good turnout at Discovery Day and Next Step Living had about 50
residents sigh up for home energy assessments (HEAs) and multiple signups for Total
Climate Control systems assessments.

The Selectmen have assigned the task force (including M. Sandeen, P. Chernak, and

MAPC is looking into a regional program, but there is little interest in a program of
that scale and it is not likely to go forward.

To date:
115 homes in Lexington and Bedford have signed up for solar installation for
o
a total of 803kW.

As a result, Lexington qualifies for a free 3kw system. Potential sites include
o
the restrooms at Lincoln Fields and the Town Pool building.
On May 3, from 1 to 3pm there will be a “Solarize Installation Party” on Baskin
Road.
The Solarize Team will also be signing residents up at Hazardous Waste Day and
