Minutes of Meeting of May 12, 2014

A meeting of the Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee Programs Group was held
on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 9:30 AM in theParker Room (G-15) at the Town Office
Building, 1625 Massachusetts Avenue.
Members Present: Laura Hussong, Chair; Jon Himmel, Charlotte Rodgers (Director, Human Services
Department), Karen Simmons (Director, Recreation Department), Sheila Butts (Assistant Director,
Recreation Department)
Members Absent: Leslie Zales, Florence Koplow
Also present: Barb Deveau from Human Services
Meeting called to order at 9:55 AM with a quorum of five.
Minutes:
The minutes of the April 28, 2014 meeting were approved unanimously.

Handouts:
There were no handouts for this meeting. We viewed the matrix on Jon's laptop.
Community ideas for the LCC, Programs for the soft and hard openings
We will discuss these topics after the master matrix is finalized, and when Florence is present.
Master Matrix
We discussed Jon's matrix, examining the ARTS category. Committee members need to look at the
matrix in advance of the next meeting, ready to work on finalizing the programs over the next few
meetings. On May 28 we will look at the FITNESS category.
Future Meetings, all will be in the Parker Room (G-15) at the Town Office Building
