HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-06-28-BOS-ES-min EXECUTIVE SESSION June 28, 2004 Present: Chairman McKenna, Mrs. Krieger, Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Kelley, Mr. Pagett: Town Manager Mr. White, Town Counsel Mr. Lahey and Ms. Manning, Clerk. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted by roll call Mr. Kelley, Mrs. Krieger, Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Pagett and Mrs. McKenna to go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining and potential litigation. Collective Bargaining Mr. White updated the Board as to the status of negotiations with the different unions. He discussed wage increases, work rule changes and other issues that have come up during negotiations. He will keep the Board informed as things move forward. Litigation - Route 3 Noise Barriers th Mr. Lahey informed the Board that there was a hearing on the preliminary injunction June 29 in Judge Jeffrey Locke’s Courtroom, 98, in the Middlesex Superior Court. He recommended Selectmen and citizens attend the hearing. During the hearing he will be asking for a “viewing” of the area by Judge Locke. Comcast Negotiations Mr. Becker updated the Board on the status of Comcast negotiations. He indicated that it was a tough process. They are currently negotiating the date Comcast will end community broadcasting services, it could be as early as September 1, 2004. After Mr. Becker’s presentation Mr. Lahey and Mr. White left the meeting. Town Manager Issues The Board received answers to questions the Board asked at a previous meeting with Attorney Sullivan. No discussion took place. Upon motion duly made it was voted by roll call vote, Mr. Kelley, Mrs. Krieger, Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Pagett and Mrs. McKenna to adjourn at 11:30 p.m. A true record; Attest: Lori A. Manning Clerk
