themselves and the Town of Lexington.
Action:No action needed
2. Discuss Town involvement in BIO International Convention 2012—Boston
Summary: John McWeeney said the Committee wants Lexington be involved in the BIO International
Convention this summer. Joe Zink said the Conference might not be the most appropriate place to market
Lexington. Mr. Zink suggested staff focus on packaging the Town's message in promotional materials
that Lexington can distribute. He said it is more important to engage the brokers, as oppose to the tenants.
Therefore, Mr. Zink said the Conference does not necessarily have Lexington's target audience for
potential development. The Committee said they are still interested in having a presence at the
Conference and show Lexington's cluster of biotech development. Ms. Tintocalis said the state has a
pavilion and thought it might be a possibility for Lexington to place some materials in the pavilion. Mr.
Zink said this is a good start, but it will be more important to get this message to the brokers.
Action: Ms. Tintocalis said she would work with the Town Manager to prepare a work plan and generate
ideas for materials that would promote Lexington then present them at the next EDAC meeting
