Route A stickers are on most signs along the route. Some signs bent. The new signs are sturdier; should all the originals be replaced? Wood backing, as per Mike, makes signs harder to mess up - use on Bikeway? RFP for Parker Meadow all-persons-accessible trail – A design study funded by CPA money is being done. An application for CPA money for construction funding will not be possible until 2015. Recommend a short-term fix of boardwalk in the meantime to the Conservation Stewards. Transportation Forum - Peggy will go to June 11 meeting Transportation Grant award – Through CHNA grant there will be new Bikeway maps, new ACROSS maps, and additional bike racks in Town. Hancock Rotary work - Stew will monitor. ACROSS post will need to be re-set. We discussed the possibility of a new crosswalk at Victory Garden Way south entrance. Peggy noted that Lexington is officially a "bike friendly community" as per League of American Bicyclists. *When communicating with GCC members on GCC business, please cc all email messages to greenwayscc@lexingtonma.org for archival purposes. Current Business Review: Route C flow chart - Keith passed around a draft to keep us organized and on task. Keith will be away for summer. Paul agreed to take Keith’s place in continuing work with Rick and Mike. Golden Living Center parking agreement. Eileen met with Karen Mullins to look for an existing official agreement. They did not find one, though there may have been agreement with the Emerson Gardens condominiums. Orchard Lane, which is a public street, should be our primary goal for parking for access to Route C. Town of Arlington “entering property of” signs – Lexington/GCC will be responsible for design, Arlington will pay for signs. Rick is working on design with Laurel Smith. The design will go to Karen Mullins, who will present it to the Arlington Conservation Commission, which will make a recommendation to the Arlington Board of Selectmen. Karen will let us know status. Paul and Mike will work with Karen over the summer on both issues, with Keith and Rick as available. Route C - The Whipple Hill route will include two connected but distinct loops. One segment will be C one will be D. New Business: Town Open Space & Recreation plan - work will be ongoing through Feb 2015. Keith will start in fall. Eileen will be the official GCC representative through the course of this project. A task force meeting will take place in June, the review process starts in July. Middlesex Greenway coalition, Burlington Canyon – There is an ongoing push for preservation of this parcel. Can Lexington help? Discussion of an access easement. Paul will look into Carl Rd, or across North St from Willard's Woods. Plan fall Analysis Meeting – We will choose a date at the June meeting and create a working group to create an agenda. Eileen will be backup in June, in case Rick can't come to chair that meeting.
