GRADING NOTES
1. Prior to commencing any excavation work the Contractor shall notify all utility
companies in accordance with the 'Dig SafEr notification procedures promoted by
respective utility componle& The 'Dig Safe' telephone nurnbw for Massachusetts
is 1-888-344-7233.
2. Contractor shall blend new earthwork smoothly Into existing providing vertical
curves or roundings at all top and bottom • slopes,
3. Contractor sholl verity all existing grades in the field and report any discrepancies
in the site survey prior to starting work
4. Any area outside the limit • work that is disturbed shall be restored to its original
condition at no cost to the Owner.
5. Pitch evenly between spot grodes. AJI paved crew must pitch to drain • •
minimum slope of one-eighth inch (1/87) per foot. Any discrepancies not
allowing this to occur shall be reported to the Engineer in consultaffon with
Landscape Architect prior to continuing work.
6. All proposed top at vertical curb elevations are from 4' to 8! above bottom of
curb unless shown otherwise.
