1. Traffic
A.Hoping to get traffic guard at the street
B.Helpful to have someone out there to direct traffic
A.maybe if get use to this routine may have parents volunteer
B.Meg has been out there this week
C.problems are: getting out too early (in the corner), get out on wrong side
of fence
D.get parents of just one grade volunteer each week, then congratulate
that grade; ?on-line sign-up
C.Deb Sabin has letter
A.to whom to address the letter — Traffic commission, Board of
selectmen, Police Dept, school committee
B.will attach map and flow onto Middleby Rd
C.include our names from Site Council, PTA co-presidents name
D. calling cars first has helped this week at dismissal for buses
2.search for superintendent, will have application process to be on search committee,
will have communication with parents district-wide
3.Hiring at Bridge
1.wonderful candidate for Social Worker/guidance
2.today finalist interview for PALS social worker
3.next week screening interviews for 1 st and 4th grade teachers, then pull
committee together to do finalist interviews (interview and teach a lesson)
4.still on hold for 2nd and 5th grade, have the budget but need the #s to confirm
5.special ed reading teacher
6.?about diversity of staffing — is an issue addressed in Minuteman, Lexington is
aware and Paul Ash had talked about at Boston meeting, went to diversity job fair
for attracting candidates
