Minutes of the Meeting Held on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 from 7:00-7:40
Members Present
: Joseph Lahiff, Janelle Franklin, Joslyn Battite, Thomas Barry, Becca
Denning, Emma Berman, Sara Fopiano, Jillian Jandl, James McLaughlin, Shaun
McLaughlin, Thomas Wood, Elizabeth Coons, Andrew Thomas, Nic Fusco, Chris Grant,
James Laurenzi, John Lahiff, Andrea Michelson, John Mullen, Mark Solomon, Ashley
Walsh, Doug Lucente, Sean Maloney, Shannon DeGuglielmo, Karen Duperey, and
Debbie Hankins.
Members Absent:
Ilise Martel, Vanessa Savage, Annie Douvas, Jake Douvas, Mattew
Gill, Gillian Goolkasian, Andrew Wang, Eva Goldfinger, Ethan Gordon, Emilia Fusco,
Ryan Buschini, and Peter Kelley.
Cotting School:
Thank you for everyone who participated in the Cotting School Visit!
Together LYC and Cotting School students made about 30 Birthday Boxes, which will be
donated to the Arlington Homeless Shelter. We plan on visiting again next year!
Cotting School Book Drive: The book drive was also a big success! There were about
eight big boxes filled with books by the end of the donation period. The Cotting School
students have an Amazon site, where the sell these books to help them learn life skills.
Patriot Day Parade:
On Saturday April 12th
from 8-10AM Thank you for all the participated, all touch-up
painting is completed, gameboard squares have all activities on them, final decisions have
been made for flowers, bushes, a bench for Chris, and placement of cars (made by Mark
Solomon)
FRIDAY, APRIL 18TH FROM 1:00 - 3:00PM AT ARLEX (East Lexington).
Please note change of time, we are meeting Friday instead of Saturday from 1 - 3 pm. We
need to place all bunting on float, flowers that will spell out LYC, and bushes and bench,
along with placement of cars on gameboard. Please come help for an hour!
MONDAY, APRIL 21ST - PARADE DAY.
PLEASE MEET ACROSS FROM
FIREHOUSE 12:45 - 1:00. Remember that the judges will be there to look at the float
and speak with the LYC Kids with questions they will have. People who are signed up to
be there are: Janelle Franklin, Mark Solomon, Sara Fopiano, Elizabeth Coons, Jillian
Jandl, Nic Fusco, Emma Berman, Emilia Fusco, Becca Denning, Joslyn Battite, Thomas
Wood, Andrea Michelson, Jam s McLaughlin, Shaun McLaughlin, John Mullen, and
Chris Grant, Thomas Barry, Vanessa Savage and James Laurenzi. If you were not at this
past Thursday meeting, please try to be there. We have 5000 flags that needed to be
handed out.
Our next, and last, meeting will be on Thursday May 8th, at 5:30 at the LYC Island.
