1.TAC Statement on Town Meeting Warrant Article 24
The draft statement prepared by Ms. Dratch and Ms. Arnold was discussed. TAC
voted unanimously to endorse the statement as written. The statement is to be read
at Town Meeting by a TAC representative when Article 24 is discussed.
2.Potential Changes to Lexpress Route 1
Ms. Rebecchi described a potential modification to the new Route 1 based on
input from community members in the Bow Street area. The change incorporates
extending Route 1 to travel down Bow Street, around the Arlington Reservoir on
Lowell Street, turning on Park Ave (Arlington Heights) and back to Lexington on
Mass. Ave. In order to accommodate this extension of the route, service to an area
near Watertown Street will be truncated.
Prior to posting this change for public review, Ms. Rebecchi will contact Mr.
Valente, the MBTA, and the Town of Arlington to be sure that there are no
objections to this change.
The Committee voted unanimously in support of the proposed change for Route
1, pending the outcome of discussions in the above bullet and recommended
posting for public comment.
3.Potential Changes to Lexpress Route 4 (current Route 3)
The proposed change to the new Route 4 (currently Route 3) provides expanded
coverage to the Sunny Knoll area. To provide this coverage, the Route on
Winchester Drive off Lowell Street is somewhat truncated.
The Committee voted unanimously in support of the proposed change for the new
Route 4 and recommended posting for public comment.
