Minutes of the Meeting Held on Thursday, February 27, 2014

Coons, John Mullen, James Laurenzi, Thomas Barry, James McLaughlin, Shaun
McLaughin, Chris Grant, Nic Fusco, Mark Solomon, Andrew Thomas, Gillian
Goolkasian, Ryan Buschini, Mattew Gill, and Andrea Michelson.
Members Absent: Sean Maloney, Peter Kelly, Sara Fopiano, Annie Douvas, Jake
Douvas, Andrew Wang, Thomas Wood, Becca Denning, Ilise Martel, Ashley Walsh,
Emma Berman, Emilia Fusco, Lee Katz, Ben Liebeskind, Ethan Gordon, Jillian
Jandl, John Lahiff, Joe Lahiff, and Vanessa Savage.
Valentine’s Day Senior Center Luncheon: The luncheon was a big success!
Thank you for all the members who came, the seniors really enjoyed their meal!
Cotting School Visit: This year we will be going to Cotting School on Friday March
14th from 9:45- 11:45ish. We will be building Birthday Boxes this year. PLEASE
wear your LYC gear (sweatshirts or T-shirts) so we can represent our group!
Members who have signed up are: Eva, Joslyn, Shaun, James M, John M, James L,
Ryan, Chris, Nic, Gillian, Elizabeth, Andria, Matt, Sara, Vanessa, and Ashley. People
who have offered to drive are: Eva, James M, and Ryan. More are needed, if you
did not attend, please contact your team leader to sign up.
Book Drive for Cotting School: Every year we do a book drive for Cotting School
so that students can have books to catalog and sell. This process teaches students
at the Cotting School important skills for future job opportunities. Please bring a
book or two with you to our meeting next Thursday, March 13th.
Float Ideas: We have decided to go with the Game of LIFE (the board game) with
an LYC twist float idea! So far we have a sketch of what we want the float to look
like; we will need to start building it soon! Next meeting Andrea will be bringing in the
LIFE game so that everyone can see and get ideas. Parade is next month!!!
Sweatshirt/T-Shirt money: If you haven't yet paid/gotten your LYC gear, talk to
either Sara or Eva and they will be able to help you!
Our next meeting will be Thursday March 13th at 7:00 at the Cary Memorial Building,
in the Estabrook Room.
