BetseyW.agreedtocontinueinherroleasactingchairuntilthecommitteefinalizestheleadership roster.Therewasalengthydiscussionabouthowresponsibilitiesshouldbeassigned.Therewasamini brainstormingsessionwhenmembersdiscussedwhattasksshouldbehandledbyleadership.Thetasks include: Preparemeetingagendas Schedulemeetings Conductmeetings Writeletterstoboards&committees Solicitletterstonewspaper&othermediaoutlets Attendboard&committeemeetingswhenappropriate LiaisontoAaronHenry,LexPlanningDepartment AttendLexHABmeetings ProvideconstituencysupportatTownMeeting ProvideconstituencysupportatBOSmeetings Anticipateopportunitiesforadvocacy WendyManzmovedthatthediscussionaboutcommitteeleadershipshouldbecontinuedatournext regularmeetinginAugust.Themotionpassedunanimously. 1 Lexington Housing Partnership HousingProductionPlan BetseyWeissreportedonherdiscussion(s)withAaronHenry,AssistantPlanningDirector,onthedraftof theHousingProductionPlanpreparedforthetownofLexingtonbytheMetropolitanAreaPlanning Council(MAPC).Thedraft,datedApril2013,wasdistributedtoallHousingPartnershipmembersby dthatAaronHenryisworkingoneditingandrevisingtheproductionplan.Aaron email.Betseyindicate believesseveralimportantpointsaboutaffordablehousingdeservegreateremphasisinthereport;these pointsinclude:one,theneedtoestablishapipelinetoguaranteetheproductionofnewaffordable housingunits;two,theneedtoeducatethepublicabouttheunintendedconsequencesoftheͻЍЉ.ͼ legislation(howSHIunitsarecounted),three,theneedtoͷŷƚƌķourŭƩƚǒƓķ͸withrespecttotheSHIas newmarketrateunitsareaddedtothehousingstock,andfour,theneedtohaveabroaderpolitical discussionaboutdensitytodeterminehowmuchthecommunitywantstoͷƦğǤperǒƓźƷ͸ofaffordable housing.
