Ms.Kluchmanhassuggestedthatweappointaninterimchair,oratleastsomeonetoactasthe contactforthetown.Ms.WalkernominatedMs.Weissastheinterimchair;Ms.Marine seconded.Ms.Weissagreedtoserveasaninterimchairforonemonthandwasunanimously electedtothatposition. Thejobdescriptionincludesbeinganadvocateandspokespersonattownmeetings,writingthe annualreport,andactingasthepointpersonforthetown,forexample,thechairisnotifiedas tomemberswhosetermsareexpiring.Processresponsibilitiesincludeprovidingtheagenda, ensuringthatmeetingsareposted,andmakingroomreservations. AnyonewhoisinterestedshouldsendaletterofinteresttoFlorence.Pleaseindicatewhyyou areinterestedandwhatyourqualificationsare.Lettersofinterestarebeingacceptedforboth thechairpersonandvicechairperson.PleasesendlettersbyJune20. 3.BoardofSelectmen(BOS)GoalRecommendation Mr.PatoisseekinginputforBoardof{ĻƌĻĭƷƒĻƓ͸ƭgoalsrelatedtoaffordablehousing.Ms.Weiss andothershaveproposedgoalsspecifictodollaramountsofmoneytobeallocatedto affordablehousingandtoapprovedevelopmentplansforBusa,Fairview,andtheLeary properties. TheLHPalsodiscussedabroadergoalfortheBoardtosponsorcommunitydiscussionof affordablehousing,structuredaroundtheHousingProductionPlan(HPP).Thisstatementwould bealignedwithagoalaskingtheSelectmentoprovidethecapacitytoimplementtheHPP. Lexington Housing Partnership TheLHPalsoreframedthegoalforspecificdollaramountstoonethatseeksfundingfor opportunisticacquisitionofpropertiesforaffordablehousing.Inaddition,theLHPprovideda goalforeachofBusa,FairviewandLearyproperties. Ms.Weisswillrewritethegoalsandsendthemoutforfinalcomments. Ms.WalkermovedtheapprovalofthegoalsastheywillbeupdatedbyMs.Weiss.Themotion wassecondedbyMs.ManzandunanimouslyapprovedbytheLHP. 4.HPPParcelListDiscussion AstheHPPwassentouttoday,thediscussionisnowbroaderthantheparcellist.TheLHPisan ouldprovidetheirrecommendationsregardingtheHPPtotheTown. advisorycommitteeandsh Theparcelsweredividedinto3categories:notsuitablefordevelopment,possiblysuitable,and highlylikelytobesuitablefordevelopmentovertime.Approximatelyahalfdozenproperties wereidentifiedashighlylikelytobesuitable. Theplanwillbeupdatedandreviewedagain. 5.LetterofSupportforFairviewStreetAffordableHousing TheLHPhadagreedatitslastmeetingtosendalettertotheBOSsupportingthe\[ĻǣI!.͸ƭ developmentofapropertyonFairviewStreet.Ms.Weisssentoutadraftletter,andreceived ments.TheLHPprovidedfurthercommentsastothewording,butdidnotmake severalcom substantialchangestothedocument. Ms.Manzmovedthatweaccepttheletterasamended.Mr.Pressmanseconded.TheLHP approvedthemotionunanimously. 6.LHPGoals TheLHPreviewedthegoalsthathadbeenputforwardtwoyearago.TheLHPhasdonea reasonablygoodjobofmeetingthegoals. Startingpointforgoalsmovingforward: ReviewingtheHPP,providinginput,andadvocatingforit. Continuetoeducatethecommunitythroughavarietyofforums,includingtheTown MeetingMembersAssociation. 7.Adjournment Ms.Manzmovedtoadjourn.Themotionpassedunanimously. ThenextmeetingwillbeonJune27,2013,at7:30pm.
