LEXINGTON COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE The Mason property has been purchased by the town of Lexington on the recommendation of the Comnnulity Center Advisory Committee. The town will help raise finding for the renovation of the building. Seven people will be appointed to a Board of Directors and one person will be hired to provide administrative services. Plans may include the hiring of an architect since the building needs to meet security and fire regulations and the space allocations will have to be decided. The Center will hopefully be ready by the winter of 2014. What can the HSC do to help with this project? It is too soon to tell. What will be the fate of the Mussey Condos? The town owns the property and has not decided on a plan. OTHER BUSINESS The date of the next meeting will be Tuesday, ,Lune 4"'. Items for discussion may include the direction for the HSC. Should the committee be expanded, merged with another town committee or is there another option? Respectfully Submitted, Mimi Ballard w V1-1 Pgt?10P41 )( -11 )td-) "i0 HMn_1
