Dr. Glaeser will discuss how cities, our greatest invention, make us richer, smarter,
greener, healthier, and happier. Edward Glaeser is the Fred and Eleanor Glimp
Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University,
where he has taught since 1992. He is Director of the Taubman Center for State and
Local Government and Director of the Rappaport Institute of Greater Boston.

Dyan deNapoli, penguin expert and author of the award - winning book, The Great
Penguin Rescue, will discuss her experiences as a rehabilitation supervisor during the res-
cue of 40,000 penguins from an oil spill in South Africa. Ms, deNapoli (aka The
Penguin Lady) worked closely with penguins for nine years at Bostods New England
Aquarium, where she was a Senior Penguin Aquarist. To date, she has taught approxi-
mately 250,000 people worldwide about penguins.
