Parker Room, Town Office Building 1625 Massachusetts Avenue Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 5:34 pm in the Parker Room of the Town Office Building. Commissioners Present: Joyce Miller, Jane Warren, Stew Kennedy, Duke Bitsko, Phil Hamilton, and Dick Wolk Commissioners Absent: David Langseth Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Tassi, Community Development Department Assistant 5:35 pm Banks Avenue, NOI, DEP# 201-858, BL 816 Comments from the Commission as follows: Mr. Hamilton stated that he is in favor of the project because it meets the performance standards and it cannot be denied due to drainage issues from other properties. Mr. Wolk disagreed with approving the project and suggested that a letter be sent to the Selectmen to raise awareness about the flooding that occurs in the area. Mr. Bitsko agreed that others should be involved to help the area and the project meets the performance standards. Mr. Kennedy agreed that a letter should be written to the Selectmen and he will approve the project. Ms. Warren agreed to approve the project and commented that the area needs help with flooding. Ms. Miller agreed with all the comments that were made. Mr. Bitsko suggested that an infiltration test be done before the chambers are put in. Mr. Wolk mentioned that a sump pump will not be allowed without written consent from the Conservation Commission. Ms. Mullins read special condition number 2. Motion made and seconded to approve the project as most recently proposed and to issue an Order of Conditions with special conditions for Banks Avenue: DEP# 201-858, BL 816, 5-1 in favor. Mr. Wolk voted not to approve the project as most recently proposed. 5:55 pm Motion made and seconded to approve the project as most recently proposed and to issue an Order of Conditions for Route 2 MassDOT: DEP# 201-879, BL 837, 6-0 in favor. 5:57 pm Motion made and seconded to approve the project as most recently proposed and to issue an Order of Conditions for 13 Sherburne Road: DEP# 201-880, BL 838, 6-0 in favor. 5:58 pm Motion made and seconded to approve the project as most recently proposed and to issue an Order of Conditions for 80 Bloomfield Street, the wetland line will not be approved at this time: DEP# 201-881, BL 839, 6-0 in favor. 5:59 pm Motion made and seconded to approve the project as most recently proposed and to issue an Order of Conditions for 19 Wellington Lane Ave: DEP# 201-883, BL 841, 6-0 in favor. Reports Mr. Kennedy reported that he will be filing a Notice of Intent with other stewards to replace bridges in Conservation Land. Mr. Hamilton reported that a part-time ranger position was requested as part of the budget. 6:30 pm Motion made and seconded to adjourn the meeting, 6-0 in favor.
