MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT OTHERS PRESENT Robert D. Peters Leo P. McSweeney Steve Keane Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang Melinda Walker 2. EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT A. Required review of High Leverage Asset Preservation Program Competitive Grant Application Massachusetts Housing Partnership and DHCD are working together in the High Leverage Asset Preservation Program (HILAPP). Steve has completed the required application requesting funding for Vynebrooke Village for new siding, roofs, doors and doorbells. This grant is a one for one fund match. Steve has estimated the cost to be $900,000.00. He is requesting 2/3 from this grant and the additional he will apply for from 2014 CPA Funding through the town. Upon a motion by Weidong Wang and seconded by Melinda Walker, the Board voted to approve the HILAPP application. The roll call vote was as follows: YEAS NAYS ABSTAIN ABSENT Robert D. Greeley Village Paving Project change order review There is a change order in the amount of $35,647.00 for the Greeley Village Paving Project. This change order includes adding 6 new parking spots and accommodating 4 placard sites, adding a 2" water line, a 4" sprinkler cast line and running the electrical conduit lines. Upon a motion by Melinda Walker and seconded by Weidong Wang, the Board voted to approve the Greeley Village change order in the amount of $35,647.00. Countryside Village Generator Project contract award The Countryside Village Generator Project went out to formal bid. Three bids were received. The lowest bidder is Systems Electrical Services in the amount of $47,500.00 Upon a motion by Nicholas Santosuosso and seconded by Melinda Walker, the Board voted to approve the low bidder Systems Electrical Services in the amount of $47,500.00. Review of Countryside Village Bathtub and GPNA Projects Richard Alvord is the architect who is drafting the Physical Needs and 504 Assessments and is also the architect who completed the 13 bathtub renovation for Countryside Village. The next phase of the bathtub renovations are to begin. Steve would like to use Alvord Architects since they are very familiar with the project. The request for proposals must be published in the newspaper though as part of the procurement policy. Steve does not think there will be any proposals other than Alvord Architects. He would like the Board to designate him to approve a proposal expenditure under $5,000.00 for architectural services for the Countryside Village bathtub renovation project. Upon a motion by Weidong Wang and seconded by Melinda Walker, the Board voted to designate Steve to approve the architectural service expenditure under $5,000.00 for the next phase of the Countryside Village bathtub renovation project.
