There were no comments on the October Minutes. 2. HFAC Membership: J. Krieger discussed the current effort to create a full slate of HFAC members based on the legislation that created HFAC. She thanked the representatives from the FAA and aviation businesses for attending the meeting. 3. Monthly Noise Report/ Hanscom Projects: Sara Arnold presented the October noise report and noted that: The FAA is now holding flight strips for 45 days instead of 15 days. Because Massport uses the FAA flight strips to produce aircraft operations and noise data, presentation of the monthly noise report will be delayed. For example, the November report will not be available until the January HFAC meeting. Massport is considering a shift from using FAA flight strip operational data to using operational data generated by the new noise monitoring system (NOMS) to create the monthly noise report data. There are a number of details to be worked through, and HFAC will be kept informed. There was discussion about the two different sources of data and how Massport will continue to track aircraft activity and noise. S. Arnold commented that the monthly noise report was created to provide a representation of changes in airport activity and noise, and based on an initial comparative review of data, the NOMS data can continue to provide that information to HFAC. Massport is working with its noise consultant, Harris Miller Miller and Hanson, on this project. Dorothy Steele presented the capital projects report. There are no new capital projects to report; some existing projects have been completed. Massport has not had discussions with commercial or cargo operators. 4. Next Meeting: HFAC will not meet in December. However, Massport will provide the Chair with a copy of the November minutes and the Capital Programs report for distribution to interested parties. As mentioned above, the November noise report will not be available until January 2011. The next HFAC meeting is scheduled for January 18, 2010. Attendees : Dorothy Steele, Cedric Daniel, Sara Arnold, Tom Hirsch, Jeanne Krieger, Frank Diglio, Doug Booth, Andrew Applegate and David Needham.
