Minutes

1. Minutes:
The meeting was called to order by Jeanne Krieger (HFAC Chair Hank Manz was
absent). There were no comments on the November Minutes.
2. Monthly Noise Report:
Sara Arnold presented the November noise report. There was
discussion regarding ambient community noise versus aircraft noise and on the definition of a
Fixed Base Operator.
3. Hanscom Projects:
After reviewing the status of projects at Hanscom,S. Arnold and Dorothy
Steele explained that:
In response to the HATS area members of Congress request, Massport is holding a
community meeting regarding the status of the Hangar 24 historic review process on
January 7, 2010 in the Civil Air Terminal. The meeting will be advertised in the
community newspapers and on the Massport website and a meeting notice has been sent
to elected officials and interested parties. Tom Ennis will be making a presentation at the
meeting, and there will be other Massport staff and consultants present to respond to
questions.
Massport has had no discussions with commercial or cargo operators.
The Air Force is voluntarily vacating Massport property along Hartwell Road that it had
been using as a trailer park. Edge Sports, which is located in Bedford and abuts this
property, has been in communication with Massport about using the site to expand its
facility.

The next HFAC meeting is scheduled for January 19, 2009.
