Those in attendance introduced themselves. It was noted that Jeanne Krieger will replace Peter Enrich after the June meeting. 2)Monthly Noise Report: Sara Arnold reported on the monthly statistics, noting that operations were down, and this included a decline in jet activity. Looking at the four months from October 2002 through February 2003, jet operations increased approximately one percent as compared to the same months one year earlier. The change to an upgraded EXP, the metric used to track changes in noise levels at Hanscom, is nearly complete and will likely be ready for the March meeting. 3)Massport Reports: S. Arnold reported that the parking lot resurfacing and new fencing project are still scheduled for the spring. There will be some upgrades to lavatories on the first floor of the terminal, and this may involve changing the current footprint of the current lavatory facilities. Barbara Patzner will attend the March meeting to present the State of Hanscom, and she will review all of the projects currently identified for Hanscom. Richard Walsh reported that Massport met with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the Town of Bedford and members of SHHAIR to discuss the appeals that have been made regarding the Orders of Conditions issued by Bedford and Lexington for the vegetation management program. Massport and Bedford worked through the seven points that were of concern cited in Massport’s appeal of the Bedford Order. DEP is writing these up for presentation to Bedford’s Conservation Commission. Massport would like to begin the project in the summer months and/or during the winter of 2003-04. Plans for addressing the vegetation in the Bedford Town Forest have not been developed. Boston-Maine Airways announced plans to begin serving the Cape and the islands in March. 4)HFAC Request: P. Enrich asked if the HFAC Minutes could include a list of those HFAC members who attended. S. Arnold asked that a list of the members be provided. Margaret Coppe said she would provide a list.
