Cell Phone Policy • The process of review and finding a balance with the powerful resources of cell-phone technology is difficult; • The school is considering cell -phone use in identified locations on campus and/or at teacher discretion; • Laura asked the council members to share perceptions and thoughts regarding potential changes in the current electronic device policy (under review): 1. Cell phones can be a valuable technology resource; 2. Concerns about equity if students in a class do not have a cell phone and/or an equal level of access (to acquire information); 3. Concerns about distractions with frequent discretionary use by a teacher; 4. Concerns about cheating (students were less concerned); 5.
