• January 28 meeting Minutes — approved
2. Current Business Review:
• ACROSS Lexington Project (Rick) — Mike, Eileen, Keith & Rick are starting with
a "clean slate" and pinpointing locations of interest on a town map to consider
possible next routes. Will present ideas at next GCC meeting.
• Rick Abrams Trust Fund to be "accepted" by Selectmen tonight.
• Bike /Walk/Bus Week (Peggy) — no report in Peggy's absence, but Aaron, Keith,
Rick and Stew are all planning to lead activities during the week of May 5 -11,
2013.
3. Current Business Updates:
• ACROSS Lexington Community Preservation Grant Update (Keith) — A public
Q &A meeting will be held as part of the Town Meeting Members Assoc. info
session. The CPC has voted in favor of funding and it is listed in the Town
Warrant (p. 12). Next step is Town Meeting vote.
• Trail Easement Database — The database is now available through Dropbox. If
you make updates, note in title with your initials and date. Some site visits are
needed and some perusal of Town records.
• Middlesex Greenway Coalition (Rick/Keith) — This group is building steam in an
effort to prevent development of the Burlington Canyon, which abuts Lexington.
If this property is preserved, the Coalition may approach the Town of Lexington
regarding possible access points. The Coalition is planning an informational
meeting for other interested conservation/preservation groups in the area. If some
access issues are overcome it could be possible to connect the Mary Cummings
Estate and Whispering Hills to Horn Pond and the Middlesex Fells in the future.
• West Lexington Greenwav Master Plan report to Cabital Exnenditure Comm.
(Keith) — went well — Committee interested in what /when of next steps
4. New Business:
• Access to Town open space map (Rick) — Changes and improvements are being
made to the Town GIS maps. Better information is now available and will
eventually be accessible to the public in some form. A sample link is available on
the Recreation Department web page.
• Stew mentioned the Spring Massachusetts Trails Conference, the date of which
was unknown. Addendum — May 4, 2013, at Devens, 8am -4pm.
