Meeting Minutes for May 9, 2012

Meeting began at 5 55 PM
1 Minutes for April 5, 2012 meeting approved unanimously
2 Review of Title II— discussion on how the CoD can best prioritize items in project
Suggestions for approaches
a Review building to building
b Target DLP —Developmental Learning Programs—at Harrington (hearing
needs), Clark(does not have an accessible bathroom) and LABB schools first
c Focus on access in and out, using facility and the bathrooms
d Prioritize the buildings to be reviewed We could to leave Estabrook,
Bowman and Bridge and appropriations for Senior Center out of review
because they will be rebuilt/renovated within the next few months
e Review where is access actually blocked and where the high traffic areas
exist
f CoD members agreed to prioritize schools first, then the library and to
dedicate the next meeting to review and prioritize the list The meeting will
start at 5 30 and will focus on Community/public areas - public spaces—with
schools and the library first, then prioritize where people with disabilities
"have to be"
• Review of how to be involved with the Lexington 300 plans—Town Celebrations
Committee Will discussed further at a future meeting
a Opening Day is— September 22nd and will run through March 2012
b There is a Transportation Subcommittee -Shuttle buses for housing villages,
Clark Diamond and Harrington
• Community Center Task Force Survey
a CoD members asked to read the write up on line and complete the Community
