Approvals. Minutes of the August 8t''meeting were approved with minor corrections. Presentations/Review T-Mobile Wireless Facility Installations The DAC reviewed several proposed wireless communication facilities for T-Mobile USA,Inc Adam Braillard, attorneN at law represented the client and presented the material. Comments to each of the proposed installations is as follows 313 Marrett Road(Marrett Sauare Building) 1 The DAC does not take issue with the new proposed tower roof element(increased slope&height) The proposed substitution of the metal roof with fiberglass panels maN present an issue with respect to aesthetics(can it be made to look like metal,a sample should be provided)and snow runoff with respect to the safet, of pedestrians below(increased roof pitch maN change the current condition),snow cleats could potentially solve this problem. 2 With respect to the roof mounted equipment, the DAC feels this should be screened from view of adjacent residential neighbors. Great care was taken to screen the current dumpster area within the massing of the building and we believe this idea should be extended to the roof equipment. The new roof screen can match the ridge height of the adjacent dumpster roof and a door/gate be provided for access. The screen should return the corner around the equipment to provide additional screening, which would help stabilize the structure as well. 3 The applicant should explore the possibilit, of moving the access ladder to the inside corner adjacent to the dumpster to reduce visibilit, and at this location could reduce the need for an access door(for screening purposes)since there is no equipment in this area. 55 Coolidge Ave (Pilgrim Congregational Church) 1 The DAC would like to know if the fiberglass panels proposed for the steeple will match the color and texture of the remaining steeple Is the color integral to the material or is it a painted finish) As mentioned above the DAC would like to see a sample of the fiberglass material and material specifications 2 The exact location of the GPS antenna was unclear since it was shown in different locations on the drawings. It is our understanding that the proposed location is on the front of the steeple facing the street. Although small, the mounting of these antennas is makeshift. The DAC would like to know if the antenna can be mounted on the backside of the steeple(further from street view). 33 Hayden Ave (Indevus) 1 The DAC would like the height of the antenna be reduced to 8 -0' and the faux chmmneN enclosure removed from the proposed antenna. The Design AdvisorN Committee recommends these installations be approved with the above-mentioned comments The DAC appreciates the thoroughness of the design and clantN of the presentation material. Other Business. Discussion on Cornell University structural soil' properties and upcoming video presentation on benefits of using this type of soil for sidewalk trees. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9.30PM. Next Meeting: Scheduled for Tuesday October 3t1i 7 30PM. Cc. Board of Selectmen Wendy Manz,Planning Board Liaison
