Presentations/Review:
Captain Parker Arms Apartments
A proposal for a sign at the corner of Waltham St. and Worthen Rd. was discussed.
There was not a representative present to answer any questions Based on the paperwork
that was submitted, it was determined that the information was insufficient to make any
conclusions, however, there are some comments/questions of note, as follows
-What materials, colors and finishes are being proposed
-Consider the size/scale of the sign.
-There was no mention of lighting— so we presume this will be an unlit sign.
-There is some concern as to the safety issue with respect to line of vision as it
pertains to the proposed location. Also, might it be too distracting for drivers going by as
there is lots of information on the sign at a very busy intersections It may be preferable
to locate the sign further down Worthen Rd. toward the entrance to the apartment
complex.
General Discussions:
Imnrovin Si nae Application Process
It might be helpful to reference the existing website for signage guidelines in order to
further educate applicants what the town requirements are Additionally, perhaps the
booklet could be a part of the hand-out together with the application form as standard
procedure Carl/Colin plan to communicate this with office staff
