A quorum of three was present. Members Present: Mark Sandeen, Chair Rick Abrams, Todd Rhodes Members Absent: Ken Moraff Other Attendees: George Burnell The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm. The committee approved the minutes from the January 3, 2012 meet Mr. Sandeen provided an update of the Better Buildings program ( presentation) Sagewell reports that the response from Lexington is significant than the response in other towns. One difference is that the Lex homes were imaged first and then the message was sent out to vie image. In other towns, the message was communicated that Sagewel about to take images and residents needed to contact Sagewell to that their homes were included. The psychology may be that folks more interested in making sure that get their fair share of a pr about to be offered rather than taking advantage of a program th already been given to them that they did not request. The committee discussed re-launching the program by using the sa images that were already taken, but giving residents the opportu participate in the process by requesting the images. Mr. Sandeen led a discussion of boiler/furnace upgrades, identif would be more likely to get a big improvement from a system upgr R. Abrams and M. Sandeen both offered to contact Larry Sweet to thoughts on how best to promote a boiler/furnace upgrade program Ideas to promote the program included: Free assessment program Have plumbers aggregate to advertise the program Give away ÅNestÆ thermostats to first X number of sign-ups (use Green grant money to fund it) Page 1 of 2 G. Burnell recommended that the committee invite local contracto meeting to get their ideas for how to promote an upgrade program the we could: Put flyers up at the permitting dest Involve anyone that wants to participate Be conscious of their concerns (e.g., oil to oil conversions) R. Abrams offered to see what programs are available on the Nati website. The meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm. Respectfully Submitted, Todd Rhodes, Scribe Page 2 of 2
