-Vote passed to approve minutes from last meeting
-Vote 6 teachers /staff members and 6 parents /community members to the Council for
2012/13- 2013/14
-Topics to address in the upcoming year
-Communication Subcommittee to address issues of communication especially in
time of change with the renovations
-historically the communication issues had been address by establishing the
Bridge To Home newsletter
-School Improvement Plan (SIP) passed out and to be discussed in future
meeting and then readdressed throughout the school year
-new report card
-playground
-ELL is >10% of the students now, so ways to try to include those families in
communication, mulitcultural signs around the building
-school-wide surveys
-Bridge-To-Home will be monthly, no hard copies
-new website (all of LPS), does have drop -down option to translate
-?text updates to parents
-to do survey next year of what parents want; in the past a parent (Bruce )
donated time to design surveys, Survey Monkey is translatable, PTA is willing to
help with translation
-traffic patterns for next year
-?more busses
-parking on both sides of road
