Votes: September meeting minutes approved (unanimously) West Lexington Greenway policy statement reviewed and approved (unanimously). Copies to be forwarded to the Board of Selectmen, Planning Board and Conservation Administrator (Action Item — Keith) 2. Current Business: West Lexington Greenway Report to Community Preservation Committee: Keith and Stew will work with Karen Mullins to prepare a summary report to the CPC. (Action Item — Stew, Keith) b. Town -wide Recreational Route Mapping Project • Suggestion to include average route travel times • Suggestion to plan information deliverables for electronic format with paper maps and trail guides as secondary • Wellesley has a good town -wide system in place to serve as one model • Suggestion to contact Dawn McKenna to explore funding opportunity • Peggy Enders is organizing a transportation themed presentation panel for the February League of Women Voters First Friday series. Presentation of this project may be possible. Action Item — Mike offered to develop draft of signage system Action Item — Rick/Alex to develop draft of marked up town map showing initial proposed routes Action Item — Rick/Alex/Keith/Stew to visit Wellesley to gather materials and explore their route system c. Lexington 300 Events • Stew has offered to lead a bicycle tour visiting historical sites in town • Coordination with the walks led by Citizens for Lexington Conservation will be arranged to avoid duplication of effort (Action Item — Keith) 3. New Business: a. GIS Open Space Parcel Mapping — Emily Schadler described a j oint effort underway between the Conservation and Planning Departments to develop GIS data layers mapping key features of all town open space parcels. A list of suggested types of data was distributed with the request to forward additional suggestions to Emily in the Conservation office. b. Lexington Hills — Michelle Ciccolo reported that the developer of Lexington Hills on Walnut Street is requesting that more lots be released for development. The Planning Board is searching its records for information regarding trail easements agreed to by the developer along with development of a sidewalk on the opposite side of Walnut Street down to Potter Pond across the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Beaver Brook North property. Keith and Mike offered to contact DCR personnel including Tom Walsh, District Manager and Dan Driscoll in the central office as needed. (Action Item — Keith) Estabrook School Construction — Michelle Ciccolo requested assistance identifying walking routes to Estabrook School during construction. Keith offered to prepare a summary of planned Steward trail improvements in the adjacent Paint Mine area and forward to Michelle for review.
