Dear Mr. Jaquith:
As per our conversation, enclosed please find rmorandum from Mrs.
Jean Alfred to F^dalter C. OConnell , Town Manager, dated February 19, (976
regarding the painting of eight to twelve hydrants adjacent to the Battle
Green. The Eioard of Selectmen and Town Manager have approved this proJect
in concept.
1 discussed this matter with Fire<Chiet Marshall and we boi'h agree
that as long as the hydrants are not made inoperable by the painting of
the threads and caps, and changing and/or painting the caps that are
currently covered with luminous paint, we have no objections to this project.
I have been given the responsibility ot following up on this request
with P.rs. Jean Allred.
Your earliest consideration in this matter wiil be greatly appreciated.
Please return the enclosed information.
Very truly yours,
