Notice is hereby given that at a hearing of the Historic Districts Commission held on March 1,
2007, the Commission granted a Certificate of Appropriateness to Dawn McKenna, representing
Town of Lexington Tourism Committee with respect to signage at Lexington Center - Harrington
Road to.Muzzey Codominiums, which is located within the Battle Green District.
Participating in the decision were Commissioners Ian Adamson — Acting Chairman, Daniel
Griffin, Lynn Hopkins, Alfonso Hernandez and Associate Commissioner Carl Oldenburg.

CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS
This certificate is issued pursuant to Chapter 447, Acts of Massachusetts, 1956, as amended, to
Dawn McKenna, representing Tourism Committee -Town of Lexington,
with respect to signage at Lexington Center - Harrington Rd to Muzzey Codos,
which is located within the Battle Green District.
The approved work shall be as follows:
• 130 signs shall be taken down in the Historic District from Lexington Center -
Harrington Road to the Muzzey Condominiums and approximately 25 new signs hung.
• This is in consultation with Town Departments, Center Committee, Tourism Committee,
Anti- Idling Committee and the Selectmen.
• One style pole shall be used through out the District.
• Painting of curbing will cease.
• Final approval for new locations are marked on plans submitted March 1, 2007.
This approval is contingent of 129 signs being taken down by July 1. 2007.
The work shall conform to the information submitted on March 1, 2007 and be completed to the
satisfaction of the Commission. After completion, the work shall, in the judgment of this
Commission, be maintained in good repair.
This Certificate shall be void if it is not acted upon within one year from the date of this
Certificate, or if the work described is removed, abandoned, or replaced.

PM on Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Estabrook Hall at the Cary Memorial Building on the
application of Dawn McKenna, representing Town of Lexington Tourism Committee, with
respect to signage at Lexington Center - Harrington Rd to Muzzey Condominiums, which is
located within the Battle Green District.
At the hearing any party, whether entitled to notice thereof, or not, may appear in person or be
