Participating in the decision were Commissioners Stephen M. Politi, Ian Adamson, Richard Bechtel, and Joann Gschwendtner, and Associate Commissioner Eleanor MacQueen. Politi, Chairman TOWN OF LEXINGTON MASSACHUSETTS 02173 HISTORIC DISTRICTS COMMISSION CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS This certificate is issued pursuant to Chapter 447, Acts of Massachusetts, 1956, as amended, to The Town of Lexington with respect to exterior architectural changes at the municipal parking lot known as the Meriam Street lot which is located within the Battle Green District. A booth for the parking lot attendant was approved. It will be 6' by 10' and placed on an island at the entrance to the lot off of Edison Way. Utilities will be underground. The details are as follows: The roof will be dark -gray to black shingles to match the bank next door. The siding will be cedar clapboard. The booth will be painted white with an Essex green door and window box. There will be white aluminum gutters and downspouts. The pilasters at the corner can be plain or fluted at the discretion of the builder. The island will be surfaced with brick pavers and have granite curbing. The work shall conform to the information submitted on May 7, 1998 and be completed to the satisfaction of the Commission. After completion, the work shall, in the judgement of this Commission, be maintained in good repair.
