Proposed installation of 3 (three) 5 in. diameter steel conduit on the north side of the pedestrian/bicycle bridge. The conduit will be located on the south side the existing northern steel through girder and will be fully encased in concrete. Rigid reflectors will be mounted every six feet along the top of the 23 -inch high proposed concrete encasement to deter skateboarders. Concrete endposts are proposed where the proposed conduit transitions from above ground to below the existing ground at the northeast and northwest bridge approaches. The area in the vicinity of the proposed concrete endpost, at the northeast and northwest bridge approaches will be landscaped with shrubs. The approved work is as follows: Remove concrete on north side of bridge and replace with concrete encasement for cabling on bridge: Notches will be installed every 3 feet to deter skateboarders. The comers will be beveled. Concrete will be 6 inches wide and the height will be to the top of the steel girder. Concrete will have smooth finish. Each end of bridge will be landscaped with shrubs. Metromedia will work with engineering to try to match concrete encasement on south side of bridge. The work shall conform to the information submitted on December 7, 2000 and be completed to the satisfaction of the Commission. After completion, the work shall, in the judgement of this Commission, be maintained in good repair. This Certificate shall be void if it is not acted upon within one year from the date of this Certificate, or if the work described is removed, abandoned, or replaced.
