2. Current Business Review:
• Report on ACROSS Lexington project (Rick/Alex/Eileen) —The logo signs are up
and the arrow signs will be up soon. There are a couple of posts still to be set, but
the pilot route is basically ready to go.

• The grant proposal for Community Preservation Act funds is nearly complete. It
requests funds over the next 3 years for completion of the ACROSSLexington
route system. Stew recommended speaking with Karen Simmons (Recreation)
about working together.
• Regardless of CPA funding, planning will go ahead on the next segments.
• GCC will need to continue working with Planning, DPW and others on future
routes.
• Mike suggested getting feedback on the pilot route, and planning out the entire
system before beginning to mark the next route.
• We need to look into the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan for
Lexington by VHB — titled "The Lexington We Want ". Recommended reading
for all GCC members before the next meeting.
• Looking ahead, we should think about possible routes, walking what is on the
proposed map, and considering what is in the Transportation Element. Should we
hold a Public Meeting to get input?
• Rick brought up the idea of hybrid funding should we need it.
3. Current Business Updates:
• Wood Street trail improvement (Keith) —Project is on hold as abutters have sued
Town. Town will do survey, and Stew, Keith, Karen Mullins, Jay Sklar, Duke
Bitsko and Carl Valente have met to discuss next steps.
• GCC should keep an eye on other properties to avoid such situations in the future.
Would like to get developers to put in trail easements. Possibility of presenting to
Brookhaven and other "communities" where trails might be good.
• Highland Ave/Pelham Road (Bob) - ongoing.
• Annual Report — Keith has written and circulated by email previously.
4. New Business:
• Vice Chair position (Keith) — Rick Abrams volunteered and was voted in.
• Committee Vacancy (Keith) — Discussion of what would be helpful elicited: legal
background, AMC (or similar) association, GIS expertise, and "new blood ". A
number of thoughts were expressed, with no general consensus. To be discussed
further at November meeting.

Plan is complete and the deliverables have been delivered. Keith will work on
appropriate reports to CPC, Selectmen, Capital Expenditures Comm. Rick, Peggy,
