FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD
March 27, 2012
4:30 p.m., Selectmen's Office
Present: Norman Cohen, George Burnell, Father Colletti, Alan Wrigley, Edmund Grant and
Emily Lavine, Assistant Director for Family Services, Human Services Department.
Money Available as of 1/31/12 Income $69,708
Principal $104,279
The November appeal letter brought in over $36,000. In addition, the fund received a gift of
$20,000 from an estate.
2. Human Services:
Human Services Report: December 14, 2011 to March 27, 2012.
Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency
Checking Account was used to pay a utility bill and assist with a mortgage payment.
Because of the mild winter, requests for fuel assistance were down. The Human
Services Department works with clients to help them come up with sustainable
financial plans.
Other Issues:
a. The request for $1,596.00 from the East Village Community Association for
holiday decorations was approved by a vote of 5 -0.
b. A thank you note from a recipient was acknowledged.

The next meeting will be on June 19, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.
