C1 h ESTABROOK SCHOOL ACCESS AD HOC TASK W# g Pi=1 1: 48 Members: 11 voting 4 ex offico As noted below LEXINGTON MA Appointed: Length of Term: Appointments Made: Through the date Town Meeting will consider an article to fund any access improvement to the Estabrook School Description: To advise the School Committee and Board of Selectmen on providing: 1. Safe access during construction of the new Estabrook School by the vehicular traffic of parents, faculty and construction vehicles, including pedestrians; 2. Access for public safety (police and fire department) purposes after the new school is constructed and in use; and 3. Access necessary for safe access by students who walk to the school, school buses and parents /guardians dropping off or picking up students. Tasks: The Task Force will be charged with, but not limited to, the following tasks: 1. Soliciting the input of faculty, parents, residents living in proximity of the School, Police Chief, Fire Chief and DPW Director; 2. Reviewing and approving the tasks of any consultants that may be necessary to advise the Task Force; 3. Consulting with the designer on Estabrook School access issues; 4. Making regular presentations to the School Committee and Board of Selectmen on the status of the Task Force's work; 5. Making a preliminary written report with recommendations to the School Committee and Board of Selectmen; 6. Holding at least one public meeting to solicit input on the preliminary written report; 7. Revising the preliminary written report based on comments from the School Committee, Board of Selectmen and public comments. 8. Presenting a final written report with recommendations to the School Committee and Board of Selectmen. Membership: The Task Force shall be composed of the following voting members: • A chairman of the Task Force, who does not reside within the Estabrook School district, selected by the School Committee • 3 residents (from Robinson Road, Turning Mill, and Grove Street) selected by the School Committee or Board of Selectmen • 3 parents chosen by the Estabrook School PTA President, who do not reside on Robinson Road, Turning Mill or Grove Street • Estabrook School Principal or designee • 1 PBC member, selected by the Chairman of the PBC • 2 members who does not reside within the Estabrook School district, selected by the Board of Selectmen ESTABROOK SCHOOL ACCESS AD HOC TASK FORCE (concluded) Ex Officio Members: The Task Force shall include the following non - voting ex officio members: • Superintendent of Schools (or designee), • Fire Chief (or designee), • Police Chief (or designee), and • DPW Director (or designee). Criteria: Prior to serving as a member of this Task Force, appointees are required to: 1. Acknowledge receipt of the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Further, to continue to serve. on the Task Force the member must acknowledge annually receipt of the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Said summary will be provided by and acknowledged to the Town Clerk. 2. Provide evidence to the Town Clerk that the appointee has completed the on -line training requirement required by the Conflict of Interest statute. Further, to continue to serve on the Task Force, the member must acknowledge every two years completion of the on -line training requirement. Ref.: • This charge was adopted by the School Committee on May 10, 2011 and by the Board of Selectmen on May 16, 2011. • Selectmen designated any appointed member as Special Municipal Employees on May 16, 2011. • Selectmen voted to that the School Superintendent and Town Manager would make the necessary School Committee and Selectmen appointments a X O xs. i� -3C co
