Members absent: Colleen Mullen, Marissa Douvas, Erica Laurenzi, Derek Winton, John Mullen,
Mark Pronchick, James Laurenzi, Mariel Winton, Joslyn Battite, Eva Goldfinger, and Thomas
Wood
Hoopathon On March 17` LYC members helped out at the Hoopathon which was held at the
high school. James Laurenzi, Thomas Wood, Sara Lehman, and Chris Grant all helped out and
said that the day went well and was fun.
Cotting School On March 23 seventeen LYC members visited the Cotting School. First, we
delivered the books that were collected over the past month to the school. These books are then
sold on the Cotting School's Amazon account. Then, LYC members spent two hours with the
Coning students making "life kits ". Overall, the day went really well and all students benefited
from the time spent together.
New Members New member applications are due on May 15` There are NO EXCEPTIONS so
please make sure all prospective members get their information in on time.
Patriots Day Float and Parade At the meeting in April, we spent the majority of the time
finalizing the plans for the LYC float. On Saturday, April 14` from 8 am —11 am we made the
float at Arlex.
On Monday, April 16` many LYC members participated in the Patriots Day Parade. We arrived
at the float at 12:30 and walked until 3:30. The members who walked and passed out flags in the
parade included: Emily, Abby, Colleen, Marissa, Jake, John M., John L., Mark, Caitlyn, Scott,
Janelle, Chris, Sara L., Sara F., and Thomas.
The day was an absolute success and the LYC float received I' place for the "Youth" category.

Communication Again, the lack of communication was evident at the last meeting. It is pertinent
that the Minutes from the meeting are read. If you are not receiving the minutes, please INFROM
THE ADULTS. The problem will be fixed.
To have effective meetings, it is important that LYC members try to attend all the meetings.
Team captains send out messages and calls reminding their group of an upcoming meeting.
There is also a post in the Facebook group before a meeting. Please make sure you are checking
all these sources so that you can attend the meetings.
Next meeting Thursday, May 10` at the LYC Island at 5:30 pm.
We will be cleaning up the island, eating a pizza, and saying goodbye to the seniors. Shannon
will bring food, Doug will be bring dessert, and Karen will bring gardening supplies. Please
come ready to clean up the island. This is our LAST MEETING OF THE YEAR. Please try to
attend so we can end the year on a high note.
