- Members absent: None! Let's keep up the great attendance!
- Candy money was collected at the last meeting. If you forgot to bring in your money, please
bring it to Taylor or bring it to the next meeting.
- Decorating the center for Halloween will take place on Monday, October 31 st . We will meet at
Brookline Bank at 11:20. There will be pizza for lunch. The following are members who
volunteered: Janelle, Thomas, Marissa, Jake, Andrew, John, James, Erica, Scott, Mark, Caitlin,
Joslyn, Eva, Sara F., Emily, Colleen and Sara. The maybe's Annie, Derek, Sara L., Mike,
Lindsay. If you realize you CANNOT help out, please let your team captain know so they can
arrange other plans.
- Community Service Reminders: You have 90 days from an event to get your sheet signed and
turned in to the community service office. Doug is not a fan of last minute signing. It is your job
to keep track of your hours and submit them on time. Announcement: Until the end of first
quarter, LHS is accepting ALL community service hours completed during your high school
career. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
- Every year LYC orders t -shirts to wear during our service events. It is hard designing a t -shirt
that everyone will like. With that said, each member is required to bring at least one idea for a
design to the next meeting. With everyone participating, we are sure to have a great t -shirt!
- New and returning members who wanted a sweatshirt placed their order last meeting. The cost
of a sweatshirt is $35.00. Please bring a check made out to The Town of Lexington for $35.00
to the next meeting.
- The Thanksgiving Turkey Delivery is set to take place again this year. We deliver 35 dinners to
needy families in Lexington. At our November meeting, Sean will elaborate on the details,
including participants and drivers.
- We are planning our annual Holiday Fundraising. This event is a big deal and when it's well
organized, can be really fun to participate in. We need to raise money to buy $25.00 gift cards
for 75 Lexington children. To meet this goal we need a plan! Please bring your IDEAS to the
next meeting. Also, bring a calendar and any "connections' you have to local stores.
- Our next meeting is November 10 th , 2011 at 7:00 pm in Room G- 15 in the lower level of
the Town Office Building.
