Sustainable Lexington Committee
Minutes of Meeting of June 26, 2012
A meeting of the Sustainable Lexington Committee (SLC) was held on June 26, 2012 at
Cary Hall. A quorum of six was present.
Members Present: Mark Sandeen, Chair
Rick Abrams, Ken Moraff, Rick Reibstein, Todd Rhodes, Dan
Voss
Members Absent: None
Other Attendees: None
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
• The meeting minutes from the May 22, 2012 meeting were approved.
• Mr. Rhodes provided an update of water resources and stormwater activites.
• Mr. Sandeen and Mr. Abrams provided an update of the Better Buildings activities
including
• Boiler & Furnace Upgrade Program
• CAPCO Video
• Editing and Publishing Plans
• LexMedia, Website, Local Plumbers
• Handling Next Step Living Funds
• Proposed Actions for Commercial Buildings
• The committee voted to recommend that the Selectman send a letter to EPA in
support of EPA Rulemaking regarding Mercury and Air Toxics Standards for Power
Plants (MATS).
• The committee discussed leadership and potential membership of the Solar Power
Task Force
• The committee considered future topics for the All Things Sustainable column
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm
