Bowman Renovations: -The work in the building is starting slower than expected due to the need to get CORIs for all workers -The Facilities Department is responsible for moving of materials, making sure that the building is secure with doors locked. -We receive 2 weeks notice of future happenings so that teachers have time to make any preparations. -Move for Extended Day has gone smoothly. -We will have to delay commitments to clubs and organizations for facility use until the fall when the scope and completion of the work is clear. 2. End -of -the -Year surplus monies became available. We were able to use this money as well as money from BU grant to purchase ipads for the school. 3. The Intervention Specialist position will be again be in place next year. We have provided over 1600 hours of intervention to support student achievement this year 4. We have applied for an LEF grant to purchase a reading program, Read Live, which supports reading fluency. This LEF grant will allow us to use this program for the next three years. 5. Review of policy for withholding recess a. Teachers can hold a child in for recess to work with a child for academic, including pro - social, reteaching, and reviewing of work. b. Students who are not safe during recess can also have to "take -a- break."
