Current Business Review: • Report on ACROSS Lexington project (Rick/Alex/Eileen) —The grant proposal for Community Preservation Act funds has been submitted. It will go before Town Counsel for approval under CPA guidelines and the CPC will publish a list of recommended projects. • Rick is monitoring comments that come in on the A CROSS Lexington web site on the Town page — acrosslexington.org. • A few spots have been re- signed to clarify the route. • Parking areas should be marked on the map. • Maps are at the Library and will go to The Running Co. • Next Steps discussion included consideration of the whole ACROSS system, including signage and crosswalks. We need to work with Planning and DPW on our long range vision in those areas. • We could sample "Route B" options during Bike/Walk week in May. Current Business Updates: • Wood Street trail improvement (Keith) — Abutters' lawsuit is pending. No further GCC action can take place until that is resolved. • Committee Vacancy (Keith) - Rick has spoken with Aaron Ladd, a Lexington native with an MA in urban planning, also asst. running coach at LHS. Rick will invite him to the December meeting. • West Lexington Greenway Master Plan Report to BoS (Stew/Rick/Peggy) — Keith and others spoke with Carl Valente, who suggested an executive summary. Keith will draft a Summary, breaking the Plan into discrete elements and stating next steps and an implementation plan to be presented to Selectboard, Planning, Recreation, DPW and other interested committees. Draft summary to be presented to GCC for comments. • Lexington 300 walk —discuss at December meeting. 4. New Business: • 2013 meeting schedule — will continue to meet on the 4 th Monday of each month (unless that falls on a holiday). • Trail Easement Tracking proposal (Keith) — a way is needed to keep tabs on trails and easements negotiated with developers. GCC can work with Planning Board. A database exists in the Conservation Dept. for Conservation Restrictions and easements — perhaps we can produce something similar. Should work with Aaron Henry. • Collaboration with Bicycle Advisory Committee (Peggy) — GCC should work with BAC and Recreation on a guide for safe walking /biking routes.
