1) Executive Session
Upon Motion made and duly seconded, by roll call vote, the Committee voted to go into
executive session for Exemption 2 to return to public session at approximately 4:15 p.m.
2) Lexpress bus design
Members of the Transportation Advisory Committee were present to discuss the proposed
design for the new Lexpress buses. The design is similar to the graphics used for the Liberty
Ride. Concern had been expressed that it might be confusing for tourists and should not be
used. The majority of the Committee felt it was a nice design and would be a complement to
Liberty Ride operations.
3) Liberty Ride Operations
a) The new brochures were presented.
b) A report on the assistant coordinator interviews was presented.
4) Antony Park
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to confirm the hiring of
Studio 2112 and to authorize the expenditure of funds in the Antony Gift Account through
Design Development.
5) Use of Marketing Funds
a) Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted to spend $299 for
3 slide on the LCD screens at the Greater Boston Visitors Center on Boston Common
for one year.
b) Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted to spend up to
$3000 for the people counter and associated data collection costs
c) Providing electronic printable versions of the Liberty Ride and Visitors Guide should
be one of the tasks for the webmaster position if approved by Town Meeting.
